03 DAY HA GIANG LOOP TOUR ITINERARY

Day 0: Ha Giang loop tour (Pre departure day)

Travel to Ha Giang city from Hanoi, Sapa, or other nearby locations. You can take sleeper buses or cars to reach Ha Giang, where the tour starts. If needed, the BiBi Ha Giang Loop team can assist with arranging transportation.
Upon arrival, you can take a rest at my hostel (mixed dorm room, 24/7 check-in available, if you need a private room, there will be a surcharge of 550,000vnd/room)

Note: While this itinerary outlines the general plan, at BiBi Ha Giang Loop we are not strict about following a fixed schedule. There are various factors that may require modifications during the tour. We prioritize flexibility, adapting to the situation at hand to ensure a memorable experience.

Day 1: Ha Giang – Thai An – Duong Thuong village - Du Gia

08:00 AM: Start with breakfast at our hostel in Ha Giang, meet the team and prepare for the trip (you will leave your big luggage at my hostel in Ha Giang)
Hit the road and leave the city behind to enjoy the serene views of majestic mountains and tranquil villages.
We will head to a hidden waterfall where you can swim (depending on the weather) and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Along the way, we’ll stop for photos of the stunning rice fields, mountains, and valleys.
Lunch will be served in Thai An Village, followed by a visit to different viewpoints with breathtaking scenic views.
In the afternoon, we’ll travel to Du Gia Village, where you will spend the night, surrounded by rice fields. Along the way, we will make stops at, Lung Ho viewpoints,… where you can admire terraced rice fields, breathtaking sceneries,…
4:00 PM: Arrive at Du Gia Village and check in to a Tay ethnic homestay. Rest and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this peaceful village.
Share a hearty family-style dinner with your hosts, immersing yourself in their warm hospitality.

Day 2: Du Gia – Bamboo Raft in Ngoc Long – Mau Due – M Slope – Meo Vac Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Dong Van Old Town

After breakfast, we’ll visit Lung Ho Viewpoint to enjoy spectacular panoramic views before heading to Ngoc Long Village for a peaceful bamboo raft ride (weather permitting).

We’ll stop for lunch in Mau Due, then continue along the famous M Slope, known for its dramatic mountain scenery and winding roads.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Meo Vac Town before riding across the breathtaking Ma Pi Leng Pass and admiring the magnificent Tu San Canyon, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. You’ll also have the option to hike the Skywalk, where you’ll be rewarded with unforgettable panoramic views of the Nho Que River and the surrounding mountains.

By early evening, we’ll arrive in Dong Van Ancient Town, where you’ll check in to your hotel or homestay. After some time to relax, enjoy a leisurely walk through the charming old town, browse the local cafés and shops, or simply soak up the unique atmosphere.

7:30 PM: Enjoy a delicious dinner featuring local specialties, followed by a glass of the famous local rice wine, affectionately known as “Happy Water,” as we celebrate another unforgettable day on the Ha Giang Loop.

Day 3: Dong Van town - Yen Minh - Quan Ba - Ha Giang

Enjoy breakfast in Dong Van with mountain views. If it’s a Sunday, take the chance to explore the vibrant Dong Van Market.
Set out from Dong Van Town and get back on the road.
Continue your journey to Sa Phin Village, where you’ll visit the Vuong Family Mansion (Hmong King Palace) OR explore a nearby village.
Stop for lunch in Yen Minh Town.
Drive toward Yen Minh Town, marveling at the captivating mountain landscapes along the way.
Visit Lung Tam Village, where you’ll learn about traditional hemp weaving techniques practiced by the Hmong people.
Reach Quan Ba Heaven Gate at 1,500 meters above sea level. Enjoy a coffee break while taking in sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Pause at the top of Bac Sum Pass, Havent Gate a stunning gateway out of Dong Van Global Karst Plateau Geopark, Vietnam’s first geopark.
Reach back the city behind and finish the tour at our hostel. You will say goodbye to the team and end the tour with memories of an unforgettable adventure.

🎒 Where will I leave my big backpack or suitcase?
You can safely store your large backpack or suitcase at BiBi Hostel before your tour begins.
- For Ha Giang Loop tours that return to Ha Giang: Your luggage will be securely stored at our hostel and will be waiting for you when you return.
- For one-way tours ending in Cao Bang: We will transport your luggage to Cao Bang City, where you can collect it at the end of your tour.
Our luggage storage and transportation service is free of charge. We recommend bringing only a small backpack (approximately 30–40 litres) with the clothes and personal items you’ll need during the tour for a more comfortable ride.
🏍️ Can I ride my own motorbike?
Yes, you can join our Self-Riding Tour if you have previous riding experience and hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) recognised in Vietnam.

To ride legally, you must:
- ✅ Have experience riding a motorcycle.
- ✅ Hold a valid 1968 Vienna Convention International Driving Permit (IDP) with the correct motorcycle category.
- ✅ Comply with Vietnamese traffic laws.
Before the tour begins, our guides will assess your riding ability. If we believe it is unsafe for you to ride, we may recommend switching to our Easy Rider option.

If you don’t have a valid licence or are not confident riding on mountain roads, we strongly recommend choosing an Easy Rider, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery while one of our experienced local riders takes care of the journey.

We accept cash payments only.

Payment is made upon arrival, and we accept Vietnamese Dong (VND), US Dollars (USD), and Euros (EUR)
🛏️ Where do I sleep after arriving in Ha Giang?
If you arrive in Ha Giang the day before your tour, you can stay at Numa Hostel, conveniently located in the centre of Ha Giang City.

Most of our tour packages include one free night in a shared dormitory before the tour starts. If you prefer more privacy, you can upgrade to a private room for an additional charge, subject to availability.
